I take supplements to promote healthy hair growth. I take a total of 23 different supplements. My mother has been doing something similar for years, and she has never had any problems. In fact, she is EXTREMELY healthy. She is 56 and everyone thinks she is in her 30's. In my entire life, I do not ever remember her getting sick once. But I am worried though. I think you may have something with your protein theory. I always concentrate on getting my protein first, along with a very reduced calorie meal plan and I have definitely had some hair loss. It kind of sucks but maybe it'll come back. Fingers crossed.

This is a very good video - I take the biotin and the multi-vitamin centrum. Plus I thought I was the only ones but I also like the taste of the fiber choice. yes! you need to think long and hard about it because it's a major life changing decision! i'm so glad that you don't want to jump into it feet first and not think about it! have you talked to maria aka butterflyxlife? she went through chemo too. hair loss isn't permanent. and you're right. health is way more important than vanity. it'll grow back! i promise. mine stopped falling out about 3 wks ago. the loss is normal now. =)

If you look up "now foods" you will see their website and you can find a place that sells it in your area. They have a lot of good stuff. (I'm trying it now to see if it has any taste...) The hair thing scares me alot due to I lost all my hair to chemo awhile back and dread of that happening again. but that is vanity, and health is more important. I was going to get the citrical too but my office wants me to take 1500mg a day so I would have to take like 8 petites a day. So instead I just got the now brand calcium citrate powder and I can mix it in my protein shakes. I only need 2 tbs to get 1400mg so if I put a little more in I should be good. Very interesting theory on the protein and hair loss.

I agree, that this is a little outrageous- it does depend on how you look at it. I take 8 herbs a day (as recommended by my N.D.) and I don't care if the FDA gets involved if ONLY what they are going to do is ensure the safety, purity, and quality of each supplement -that there won't be any toxins in them AND that they will be the same quality extract. If they're going to do this while being free from lobbyist influence from drug companies, there will be more of a reason to relax- that's just me
